Production Log - 06/03/14
After looking at the final draft of my magazine I got one more set of feedback and decided to change some aspects of the magazine. On the front cover I wanted the image to go over the top of the masthead but below the banner at the top of the page. I also wasn't sure about the image I had on the front of the magazine and therefore have decided to change this and edit it more using Photoshop. I wanted the picture to look more professional looking and therefore when I cut the image out in Photoshop I will focus more on her hair. I will also add eyelashes like I did in the previous image. I also will make the banner at the top of the page smaller as well as the bottom of the page, and where her name is at the bottom of the page I will change this to centre aligned. on the first double page spread I will also make the image black and white and will re-edit this in Photoshop to make it more professional looking. In addition to this I will change the layout of the second page and move her name up to the top of the page with the quote next to the image.

Audience Feedback
To gain audience feedback I was able to present my magazine to the class. I had my magazine on the board and talked about it in detail explain why I had done things and what my opinions on things were. As the purpose of this was to gain feedback for my magazine and therefore I was able to get the rest of the class to contribute in my discussion. I was able to get the classes opinions on different things I had done and the things that I was unsure able I was able to find out what the rest of the class thought and then able to change this. I also made a audience feedback questionnaire which I gave out at the end of my presentation which had a range of different questions which would allow me to see what I had done well and what needed improving. Here is an example of one of the audience feedback sheets filled out.
Audience Feedback Survey: Click here to take survey
When I had completed my magazine I created an online question in which this would allow me to gain more feedback for my magazine. I got 5 people to complete my questionnaire which would be enough to gain information on what I need to improve. This is my results:
For the first question I am able to see that people found the image the most attractive and the sellines the leas attractive.
For the second question this is the comments I received:

For the third question I am able to see that the 3rd double page spread was the favourite.

For my fourth question about the overall magazine I could see that most people said they thought my magazine was a 9+.
From the 5th question I can see that everyone would by my magazine.
This is what feedback I received for question 6:

I talked in detail about my magazine saying what I had done and why I had done this. I also handed out a feedback sheet at the end of my presentation to get the audiences feedback. In addition this feedback was able to tell me what i needed to improve and from doing this i will begin to improve my magazine. I also had a discussion with the class asking what people thought of different aspects of my magazine that i was unsure about such as the choices of images and pull quotes.

Production Log - 30th January
In the past two lessons I have been working on my evaluation. I have completed four of my evaluations and I have posted them onto my blog. Whilst completing my evaluations I have found that I have made my magazine suitable for my genre of music and my target audience really well. This is because I have focused on who my audience is and what I am trying to put across to my audience. I am going to continue working on the 7 evaluation questions.
Below is a brief idea of what my magazine for my evaluations will look like:

Box Out Text
In this post I have explained the importance of box out text. From researching about box out text i have realised that it is commonly used in most magazines. Therefore I have decided that this would be relevant to include in my own magazine to includes information about my artist. Within this post I have also explained what I am going to do with the box out text in my own magazine and how this would be relevant.

Production Log - 16th January
I have made my contact sheet within the last lesson. This contact sheet shows all the pictures that I took when doing my photo-shoot. It also allows me to see the range of different shots I have. I am able to see here the possible photo's which I could use for my magazine.
Contact Sheet
This is the contact sheet for my photoshoot. I focused on the clothing and hair styles for each of my models, Charlotte, Beth and Grace. I made the clothing stand out the the readers and suit the targte market. I took a range of different shots to make them stand out to the readers. My main model charlotte wore clothing such as dresses which are typical clothing items for pop artists. I also got my models to pose in a range of different ways which would portray the theme of pop to the readers.

Production Log - Tuesday 14th
I have completed my first draft for my magazine. When making my magazine I kept to the colour scheme and made sure it looked suitable for the target audience. I also made sure that it was kept to the pop theme. I edited my photos using photoshot and on some of my images made them black and white to make it more interesting. Between now and the next time I will create a feedback sheet for the other students to complete which will allow me to get the feedback to be able to improve my magazine.
